Guangte Electric Mobilizes for Typhoon Narra Relief in Guangxi.

2026-09-10

Recently, Typhoon “NARRA”, accompanied by strong winds and torrential rain, swept across Guangxi. Many transmission and distribution lines tripped and stopped operating, some poles and towers tilted, conductors broke and fell, and equipment at some distribution transformer stations was seriously damaged. The electricity supply for people's production and daily life was urgently needed, and the tasks of fighting against the wind disaster and rapidly restoring power were imminent.

The wind disaster is an order, and power restoration is our mission. Guangte Electric immediately activated its emergency response plan for wind disaster prevention and response, mobilizing resources across the entire chain of procurement, production, warehousing, logistics, and after-sales service, and delivering package substations and power transformers to the frontline of emergency repairs in Guangxi at the fastest possible speed, pressing the “acceleration button” for the reconstruction of the power grid in the disaster-affected areas.

After receiving the support request, the company's management team held a special meeting overnight and immediately established a dedicated task force for wind disaster response and power supply protection, clearly defining the overall principle that “emergency repair needs take priority over all production scheduling and commercial arrangements.”

Routine approval procedures were immediately simplified, inventory resources were centrally coordinated and dispatched, and a cross-department emergency response team was fully assembled within just half an hour.

At the same time, the task force established a front-and-back coordination mechanism. The back office maintained real-time communication with the power supply departments in the disaster-affected areas and verified, item by item, the equipment models and parameters for the damaged distribution transformer stations and line sections.

The frontline team tracked transportation status and emergency repair progress in real time. Information on requirements, inventory, and shipments in transit was displayed on a single screen and updated dynamically in real time, providing a clear overview of the destination and status of every unit of equipment on one screen, and ensuring that everything proceeded in an orderly manner.

Following the typhoon, different villages, industrial parks, and municipal sites suffered varying degrees of damage. The company's technical team calculated the capacity, connection methods, and installation conditions one by one, and developed “one solution for each site” supply plans to ensure that the equipment could be installed immediately upon arrival and that power could be restored immediately after installation.

Starting from August 26, transport vehicles carrying 10 package substations departed from the production base one after another, traveling day and night toward Guangxi. As of August 27, a total of 10 units of equipment had been safely delivered to the disaster-affected counties and cities in two batches.

In response to fallen trees and blocked roads in some sections caused by the wind disaster, the transportation team flexibly adjusted routes and arranged multiple transfers, making every effort to ensure that the supplies were not delayed by even a moment and that not a single unit was left behind.

At the same time as the equipment was dispatched, the company selected and assigned several after-sales service engineers to travel south with the shipments and work side by side with local emergency repair teams.

From unpacking and acceptance inspection, foundation verification, lifting and positioning, to power-on commissioning, the engineers provided technical support throughout the entire process, assisting the emergency repair teams in efficiently completing the restoration of distribution transformer stations under difficult conditions.

For equipment that had already been re-energized, the company also conducted follow-up visits, extending the service radius beyond the restoration of power and into every day and night after the lines had been restored.

As the wind and rain subside, lights gradually return to homes and communities.

For Guangte Electric, every emergency support mission is not only a practical test of the company's emergency supply assurance capabilities, but also a solemn answer from a manufacturer of electrical power equipment to its social responsibilities.

Looking ahead, Guangte Electric will continue to maintain an all-year, all-weather emergency response mechanism, continuously improve its material reserves and technical support system, and stand together with power supply units and frontline emergency repair teams through wind and rain.

With reliable equipment and services, we will protect the reunion, safety, and peace of mind of millions of families.
